Metric
Butter – 454 g
White Sugar – 454 g
Light Brown Sugar – 227 g
Eggs – 4
Vanilla – 5 g
All Purpose Flour – 680 g
Baking Soda – 14 g
Salt – 14 g
Chocolate Chips – 680 g
Standard
Butter – 1 lb
White Sugar – 1 lb
Light Brown Sugar – 0.5 lb
Eggs – 4
Vanilla – 1 tsp
All Purpose Flour – 1.5 lb
Baking Soda – 0.5 oz
Salt – 0.5 oz
Chocolate Chips – 1.25 lb
Methodology
Mix Butter & Sugar
Using the creaming method, incorporate butter and sugar together using a planetary mixer.
Add Eggs & Vanilla
Add eggs incrementally to your sugar and butter mixture. Be sure to scrape the bowl with each addition. You can also proceed to add vanilla.
Add Dry Ingredients
With the previously added ingredients well incorporated, proceed to add your dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until it becomes an homogeneous dough.
Add Chocolate Chips
Add chocolate chips to the dough mixture and mix briefly, until the chocolate chips are distributed evenly throughout the dough.
Bake
Bake in a preheated convection oven at 350°F for 8 – 10 minutes. Total baking times and temperatures mya vary according to your oven and baking environment.
Cool & Serve
Enjoy your freshly baked Chocolate Chip Cookies. Yields approximately 7.5 dozen 1 oz. cookies.
