About Rachel Crampsey

Rachel Crampsey is an experienced baker with a love for artisan bread. Her experience includes product development from some of the nation’s biggest bakeries and grocers.

In 2012, Crampsey opened Montclair Bread with a primary focus on you guessed it – bread! Montclair Bread’s legendary doughnuts came to fruition when one evening, Rachel and her team decided to fry their brioche dough. Since then, Montclair Bread has begun producing a wide variety of their popular treats including stuffed Nutella, Dulce de Leche, and Fruity Pebbles versions.

Crampsey has since gone on to be featured in Bake Magazine’s Twenty Five, a highlight of the top 25 bakers in the United States. She has also won multiple competitions including The Cooking Channel’s Donut Showdown. She is also an avid runner and founded the running group Fueled by Doughnuts. Rachel resides in Montclair, New Jersey with her husband and children.

Montclair Bread was founded in 2012 by owner and head baker, Rachel Crampsey. This bakery has an emphasis on artisan baking with hearty breads, decadent doughnuts, and hand crafted pastries.

Their retail operation is located at: 113 Walnut Street, Montclair, NJ 07042 and is open Monday – Friday: 6:00am – 5:00pm, as well as Saturday & Sunday: 7:00am – 2:00pm.
